Inadequacy

Inadequacy explores expressions of subtle emotional disruptions through simple geometric shaped blown glass sculptures with their inner membranes. The hollow glass sculpture is a metaphor of a human body/mind, in the action of making, I push and poke on soft and hot glass surfaces creating random patterns inside of the glass membranes. The gesture of making process represents slight discomforts and moments of disruptions that are easily dismissed in our daily life, however it echos around once we realize them.

Inadequacyとは不充分で満足のいかないことを意味する英単語。この立体作品のシリーズは私たちが日々感じる言葉にできない、するほどでもない些細な感情の違和感を熱くやわらかいガラスの表面を金属の道具や針で押し込むことで幾何学的でシンメトリーなガラスの形の内側のテクスチャーをつくりだし表現する。
