Esquisse Before Prayer+根源的生欲展

In the exhibition Fundamental Drives(根源的生欲展), held in May 2026, the damaged works from I was NOT born to love you and Bear with Me developed into a collaborative installation with the exhibition curator Eri Goho. Within the exhibition space, Bear with Me was transformed into a format in which viewers could acquire a piece by offering a wish from someone else in exchange. Through this structure, the work came to embody the mechanisms of consumer society from within the artwork itself.
Although this development diverged significantly from my original intention, I have come to see it as an expanded form of Bear with Me. It positioned the very process by which fragments of prayer and emotion are passed on to others as part of the work, while also creating a structure in which viewers might unknowingly come to carry something entrusted by someone else.
2026年5月に開催された「根源的生欲展」において、「I was NOT born to love you」の破損作品と「Bear with Me」はキュレーターである五宝恵理氏とのコラボレーション作品へと発展した。展示空間において他者の願いと交換する形で「Bear with Me」は取得される形式へと変化し、消費社会の構造を作品から体現する構造となった。
これは私の元々意図していた形式から大きく離れたが「祈りや感情の断片 が他者へと受け渡されるプロセス」そのものを作品の一部として位置づけるとともに、鑑賞者が意図せず何かを引き受けてしまう可能性を含む構造とした「Bear with Me」のあり方の発展形として受け取っている。
